One bay on Union City Road

Modern Vehicle Care is a high-end detailing studio at 40 Union City Road, Suite H, Prospect, CT. Don works on one vehicle at a time, so each car gets his full, undivided attention from the first wash to the last wipe-down.

Paint correction and permanent headlight restoration are the two things the shop is known for, with ceramic coating, interior detailing, engine bays and wheels in the same bay. Every job is by appointment and drop-off only. There is no waiting area, and headlight work is done in store Friday to Sunday.

The standard is simple and it is written into the routine: new rags, new pads, and a panel checked under strip lights before it is called finished.

Rags, pads and machines

Three habits that never change from one car to the next.

New

Rags

Every microfiber rag that touches a vehicle is brand new, never washed, and discarded after use.

Fresh

Pads

Brand new polishing pads go on for each stage of paint correction, so one stage never carries the last stage's residue.

“It makes my 20 year old vehicle look like it just rolled off the factory floor.”
